HeyStax feeders allow you to hang your feeder on a wall using the French cleat system or to a secure gate/fence, making your feeder sturdy—no need to lift the feeder and dump it. You can keep it hung up. As the bunnies burrow, they circulate the hay. If you want to clean your feeder properly, it is easy and quick. Remove all leftover hay from the feeder and vacuum the bottom. In my experience, I have never seen stagnant hay in my feeders. HeyStax feeders are bunny-safe; they have no glue or harmful wood fillers.
HeyStax feeders hold over a leaf of hay in each section. Depending on how many bunnies you own, you can go days without filling up your hay. HeyStax feeders are tall and not free-standing for a reason. The feeder is tall and slender to eliminate dead hay space, so you don’t have to keep moving the hay to the feeding holes. The feeding holes are placed at a low profile toward the bottom of the feeder to help circulate the hay as the bunny burrows and minimize hay buildup. The potty box is placed under the feeding holes and extends over the sides of the feeder to reduce hay falling outside of the potty box. You won’t find extended wood sideboards or a platform your potty box sits on with a HeyStax feeder. In my experience, my bunnies burrowed the hay outside the feeder; the hay would build up on the wood sides and platform, and my bunnies would then urinate on the hay, seeping into the wood. My bunnies then chewed on the urinated wood, leaving it unsanitary and hard to clean, so I eliminated that.
